Introduction

Welcome to Best Dental Training (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our websites (www.best-dent.co.uk & best-dental.moodlecloud.com) and the services provided, including the rental of video courses and participation in online or in-person training courses.

By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.

1. Services Offered

Best Dental Training provides video courses, online courses, and in-person training sessions, primarily to prepare participants for the LDS (License in Dental Surgery) examinations. The video content is offered on a rental basis, while online and in-person courses cover various subjects such as OSCEs, Unseen Cases, presentations, and other essential training components.

These Terms apply in addition to any separate written agreement signed by the user at the point of registration.

1.1 Definitions

In these Terms:

"Account" means any user account registered on www.best-dent.co.uk or best-dental.moodlecloud.com.

"Login Credentials" means a username, password, access token, or any other piece of information used to log in to an Account.

"User" or "you" means the individual to whom an Account is registered.

2. Rental of Digital Courses

2.1 Educational Use Only

Courses available on www.best-dent.co.uk & Moodle are strictly for educational purposes and are designed to help individuals prepare for LDS examinations. You agree that the digital content will only be used for this purpose.

2.2 Rental Basis

The digital content is available for rent for a specified period as outlined during the purchasing process.

Standard Video Rentals: For standalone video rentals, access is for the duration specified at checkout.
Package & Moodle-Based Courses (LDS Part 2 and LDS Part 3): Access to the digital course content is provided until the student passes the relevant LDS examination, subject to a maximum access period of 12 months from the original date of enrolment, whichever occurs first. The 12-month period begins on the student's original enrolment date and does not restart or extend following an examination attempt.

2.2.1 Course Access Period

2.2.2 Access Following an Examination Sitting

When a student sits the relevant LDS examination, Moodle access may be temporarily suspended while results are awaited. If the student is unsuccessful, they may request reactivation of their Moodle access by providing confirmation of their examination result. Access will then be restored for the remainder of the original 12-month access period. No new 12-month period is created following an unsuccessful attempt. Once a student passes, their entitlement to that course's access ends.

2.2.3 Students Who Do Not Sit the Examination

If a student does not sit a particular examination during their access period, their Moodle access may continue, provided they remain within the maximum 12-month period from their original enrolment date. Failure to obtain an examination place, postponement of an examination, changes to examination dates, or a student's decision not to sit an examination do not extend the maximum 12-month access period.

2.2.4 What Continued Access Includes

Continued access following an unsuccessful examination attempt applies to the Moodle digital course content only. It does not provide repeat entitlement to:

Interactive or live teaching sessions
Online or in-person mock examinations
Medical Emergency training days
In-person training sessions
Actor-based sessions
Individual marking or feedback
One-to-one teaching or support

Any other live, interactive or separately delivered component of the package

Participation in any additional live, interactive or mock examination activities may be booked separately, subject to availability and the applicable fee.

2.2.5 Maximum Access Period

Under no circumstances will complimentary Moodle access under the original enrolment extend beyond 12 months from the original date of enrolment. Students who remain unsuccessful after the expiry of their 12-month access period and wish to continue accessing the course will need to purchase a new package or extension at the price and under the Terms & Conditions applicable at that time.

2.3 No Resale or Distribution

All video content is the exclusive property of Best Dental Training. You are strictly prohibited from copying, distributing, sharing, reselling, or sublicensing any part of the video content to third parties. Any breach of this condition may result in legal action.

2.4 Personal Access

Access to rented video content is granted to you personally and is non-transferable. You must not allow any other individual to view, stream, download, or otherwise access the rented content using your account or login details. Any such sharing constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in termination of access without refund, in addition to any further remedies available to Best Dental Training.

3. Course Materials

3.1 Ownership of Materials

All course materials, including but not limited to Videos, OSCE cases, Unseen Cases, Manikin Demonstrations, LDS3 OSCEs, Informational Pages, and presentations provided via Moodle or during courses, are the intellectual property of Best Dental Training.

For LDS Part 2 and LDS Part 3 package products, platform access is granted in line with the access period set out in Section 2.2 above (until the student passes the relevant exam, subject to a maximum of 12 months from original enrolment). Participation in subsequent exam sittings, or continued access to live, interactive or separately delivered components after an unsuccessful attempt, is not included and requires a new booking, additional fee, or an authorised extension.

3.2 Prohibited Use

You are not permitted to reproduce, resell, share, or distribute any materials presented during our courses without prior written consent from Best Dental Training. These materials are provided solely for your personal use and for educational purposes related to your preparation for LDS examinations.

4. Payments & Refunds

4.1 Payment Terms

All payments must be made in full before accessing the rented videos or attending any online or in-person courses. Prices for each service are listed on our website and may be subject to change.

4.2 Refund Policy

Refunds will only be granted in circumstances where a service cannot be delivered due to technical failures or other operational issues directly attributable to Best Dental Training. Once a course, course materials, or video content has been booked or accessed, refunds will not be issued. Exceptions may be considered only under exceptional circumstances, at the sole discretion of Best Dental Training.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Best Dental Training owns all intellectual property rights in the content provided through our services, including but not limited to video courses, course materials, and any other training resources. Unauthorized use of any such content, including copying, distributing, reselling, or modifying, is strictly prohibited.

6. User Responsibilities

6.1 Compliance with UK Law

You agree to use our services in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations in the United Kingdom. Any misuse of our services, including but not limited to unauthorised copying or distribution of content, may result in termination of access and potential legal consequences.

6.2 Personal Information

By using our services, you agree that any personal information you provide will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6.3 Account Security and Login Details

Each user account on www.best-dent.co.uk and best-dental.moodlecloud.com is issued to a single, named individual and is for that individual's sole use.

You agree that:

(a) You will keep your username, password, and any other login credentials confidential and will not disclose them to any third party, whether for payment or otherwise;

(b) You will not allow any other person to log in to, view, or use your account, even temporarily, and even if no payment is involved;

(d) You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account, and any unauthorised access caused by your failure to safeguard your credentials will be treated as your breach of these Terms;

(e) You will notify Best Dental Training without undue delay at info@best-dent.co.uk if you suspect that your account has been accessed by, or your credentials have been disclosed to, any other person.

6.4 Looking After Account Activity

To help keep accounts secure and protect our course materials, we keep a general overview of how accounts are used. This may include things such as login times, the country an account is being accessed from, and how often materials are viewed. We use this information to spot accounts that may have been shared or accessed by someone other than the registered user, and to support our paying students.

By using our services you agree to this. We handle any information collected in line with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection law.

6.5 If We Have Concerns About an Account

If we believe an account may have been shared or accessed by someone other than the registered user, we will review the activity. Where we are satisfied that sharing has taken place, we may suspend the account while we look into it.

We will normally contact the registered user and ask for their help in clarifying what has happened, including details of anyone who has been given access. Once the matter has been reviewed, we will decide whether to restore access, taking into account the registered user's cooperation and the circumstances of the case.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Best Dental Training shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of our services, whether such damages arise from contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

8. Amendments to Terms

Best Dental Training reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and it is your responsibility to check these Terms periodically for any updates.

We will notify registered users by email of any material changes to these Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
