Prepare for the final stage of your UK registration with our intensive, one-day practical skills course, specifically designed to mirror the demands of the Royal College of Surgeons' LDS Part 3 exam. This hands-on training focuses entirely on the practical clinical skills (PCS) assessment using state-of-the-art dental manikins in a simulated clinical environment. Course Overview The LDS Part 3 exam is a single, 180-minute operative assessment that tests your practical skills across a range of adult and paediatric scenarios. Our training day is structured to build your confidence and refine your manual dexterity, clinical judgment, and decision-making abilities under timed conditions. What You Will Master Under the guidance of expert UK-based clinicians, you will receive real-time, personalised feedback including instruction on indirect vision techniques. •⁠ ⁠Manikin Proficiency: Master essential procedures using manikins and equipment identical to those used in the actual exam at Queen Mary University of London. •⁠ ⁠Core Clinical Procedures: Practice key skills required for general dental practice, where you can practise can of the following exercises * Cavity preparation (Class I, II, III, IV, V). * Direct and provisional restorations. * Tooth preparation for indirect restorations (crowns, veneers). * Endodontic procedures and rubber dam application. * Non-surgical periodontal treatment. * Impression taking and temporary crown fabrication. •⁠ ⁠Scenario-Based Management: Develop your clinical reasoning for allied dental and medical scenarios, covering diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of potential complications. •⁠ ⁠Professional Standards: Ensure your work adheres to UK health and safety protocols, infection control standards, and professional behaviour expected of a GDC-registered dentist.
